Nitric Oxide Offers Skin Solutions

Video

Dr. Greg Chernoff discusses two recently published studies that examine the benefits of nitric oxide for anti-aging and acne.

Greg Chernoff, M.D., reports on a novel nitric oxide-generating serum in two recently published studies, one for anti-aging1 and the other for acne2 benefits.

Nitric oxide, a free radical gas, is a potent vasodilator and was shown to enhance skin quality in terms of wrinkles, lines pores and pigment. For acne, the serum can dramatically reduce active pustules, comedones, and improve the appearance of mild to moderate scars.

By reducing inflammation and increasing keratinization, nitric oxide also increases moisture and barrier functions of the skin. The reduction of subclinical inflammation aids in the prevention of scar formation. It is safely applied on open wounds which yields added anti-bacterial activity, maximizing healing and minimizing scar formation.
